
Noiret-Thomé Xavier

- Lives and works in Brussels, Belgium
After studying at the Regional School of Fine Arts in Rennes from 1990 to 1995, he was awarded a residency at the Centre d'Art Contemporain du Domaine de Kerguéhennec. In 1996 he was awarded the Villa Médicis hors-les-murs. From 1996 to 1997, he joined the residencies of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Amsterdam. In 1999, he obtained a studio at the Paul-Gauguin Museum in Pont-Aven. In 2001 he was awarded the Levis Prize for "Young Belgian Painting" at the Palace of Fine Arts in Brussels. In 2005 he is laureate of the French Academy in Rome and obtains a residence at the Villa Medici. In 2011 he realized the stained glass windows of the church of Saint-Thomas in Vaulx-en-Velin. Since 2005, Xavier Noiret-Thomé has been a professor in the painting option of the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels de La Cambre in Brussels.
