Face to Face offers a unique journey where painting and sculpture intertwine, oppose, and engage with one another. Seven artists are invited to present a pictorial and/or sculptural work, brought together in a subtle play of echoes. This setup, both simple and radical, highlights hidden correspondences, striking contrasts, and unexpected dialogues that emerge between the flat image and the three-dimensional form.
Thus unfold, together or separately, the worlds of Antoinette d’Ansembourg, Pascal Bernier, Céline Cuvelier, Anne Mélan, Griet Troch, Yves Velter, and Félicien Rops. Their works, placed in dialogue, invite a dual reading where painting and sculpture become partners in a true “face-to-face” encounter.
