With a background in fashion, sculpture (WdK), and art history (RUL), she is best known for her meticulously crafted sculptures depicting hybrid figures. Her works are often joyfully beautiful, yet imbued with a darker undertone. They emerge from contemporary existential dilemmas. By bringing together seemingly opposing elements within her sculptures, she seeks to soften judgment and dissolve categorical thinking. Her work explores then boundaries between genders, ages, (sub)cultures and species, as well as those between high and low culture.
